Fixing A Fence In China Grove, NC

Hey there! We’re United Family Lawn Care of Gold Hill, NC bringing the Salisbury, NC area quality affordable lawn care services since 2015.

Today we’ve got the whole family out helping some clients turned family friends build a fence. All of the material was repurposed from a temporary carport they had put up to protect their car from vandals.fence_installation_results_china_grove_north_carolina

They were finally able to get their carport ordered so now its time to build them a fence with the same panels of board. They’re actually fence panels anyway so it was a pretty straight forward job that we were more than happy to do for them.

Fixing The Fence From Start To Finish

In the beginning, there were six panels (5 shown) that made up the former carport. Jeff decided it would be easier to move them with hand trucks so he did while the entire time I was flinching to catch one thinking it would fall backward or on him.

For the last two, my stubborn husband did use the truck. Those things are heavy! I know because I helped him lift them on and off the truck as well as line them up with the posts.jeff_davis_jr_moving_fence_panels_with_hand_trucks

The posts that we attached the fence to were already on the ground. There was a fence there previously but some neighborhood kids pulled it down to take a shortcut home.

The things you don’t think of as a child but learn better as you get old. I think we’re all guilty of that.

I would definitely think a lot of things through differently. I wish we were born with wisdom! Wouldn’t that be great?

I guess then that would defeat the purpose of childhood. Learning and growth can be such a journey.

But I’m getting off-topic here. Trying to add something interesting to an otherwise mundane subject, lol. Well, at least for me it is.

I’d rather be writing on one of my other sites or actually DOING a job instead of writing about it, haha!

Well, as I was saying, the posts were already in the ground so all we had to do was nail the panels to the fence. I really love seeing my hubby help older people who are used to being independent but their bodies aren’t able to do the things they used to.

I really think we/he makes it such a comfortable experience. I feel the same way about reaching things in stores for people.moving_fence_panels_doing_a_lawn_care_job_in_china_grove_nc

We’re both 6ft or above. He’s 6ft and I’m 6ft 1in. Yes, I’m taller than my hubby but he also made me feel comfortable about this as well.

It really makes us feel special to make someone else feel special even without payment. This is what drives us to continue to serve our community through United Family Lawn Care Services.

I pray that as we grow we’ll be able to maintain this same humility, humbleness and giving spirit.

Oh, and by the way, you might be wondering where our little Keona is?

Where’s Keona?

Well, a bunch of pictures were blurry but she’s our little camera girl. You’ll be able to see her work better on the video we did of this job.

I can’t be more proud of her. She is so kind and considerate. She makes sure that she puts a smile on your face whether you want to or not, lol.

I do hope that she continues to do this even through adulthood. I believe that everyone deserves to smile though life can be heavy at times. Sometimes a small smile or gesture can make the biggest difference.

Her photography skills are really coming a long way too. It’s a beautiful thing to watch your children grow through all the stages of development.

Do you have kids or grandkids? I would love it if you shared some of your wisdom or even fondest memories with us in the comments below.

I’m sentimental and love hearing about these sorts of things so please don’t be afraid to share.

The Finished Product

I think it took about an hour or so to complete the job. We had so much fun it didn’t seem like it took any time at all.fence_installation_results_china_grove_north_carolina

They kept us company the whole time and kept Keona entertained for us. Boy does she love to entertain people too.

Only thing was that we had planned to have breakfast afterwards.

Well, we did eat something before we left. I had Energize which is an all-natural energy drink I use instead of most other energy drinks that are really bad for you.

Jeff and Keona had a banana and juice I think. I have to be thankful for Keona too. She’s not too cranky when she gets hungry and she doesn’t complain a whole lot either.

Also thankful for our clients bringing her a snack too. I just remembered that and couldn’t go without giving my true thanks for her kindness because she didn’t have to do that.

Family Lunch at China Grove Family House Restaurant

Once the job was over, we visited with them for about another hour and some. Needless to say, we were famished by the time we left but never gave it away for a minute.

We weren’t going to be picky about choosing where to go when there was a good restaurant just down the road from where we were. The China Grove Family Restaurant is the best!

If you haven’t tried it, you need to. Just don’t expect to find much diet food, lol.

Just look at all the cheese on our fries. Omg, I was in cheese heaven.

At the end of the day, little Keona was pooped. She was drooling so much in her sleep that when we woke her up she sounded like she was slurping through a straw. (She gets that from her daddy, haha!!)

Well, that’s all I have to tell you about this job. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them in the comments box below.
